Why I'm Not a Political Cartoonist
While I was on the drive up from LA last night, I had this "brilliant" idea of combining two newspaper features: the political cartoon and the comic puzzle. What I want to do is create a political cartoon that would challenge the reader to find all the reasons why it's a terrible political cartoon:

Three reasons to start you off:While the use of the word "Vet" is crafty wordplay, Kerry as the solution to Bush's pests doesn't exactly work; more appropriate would've been a Spin Doctor (Mary Matalin, Karen Hughes) or a Shadowy Political Strategist (Karl Rove). Instead it just comes off as the artist trying to work on his Kerry caricature.
"Spaying and neutering" would have been a servicable hack job for a Clinton-era cartoon, but here it comes off as just being weird.
What kind of pants is Cheney wearing? Futuristic pajama bottoms?
